Hi, Not sure if this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything.
Is it legal to sell prints online without any sort of trading license.

I'm registered in in Outer Mongolia, the license can be checked if you care to visit the regitration Office.

No licence required in Scotland. I have seen a couple of other people suggest that one would be required in their locality, but that is quite alien to the UK. You would be selling personally (in legal terms, you would be a sole trader). You will need to declare any profit income on a tax return (it is a form of self employment).
Formal registration would only be required if you wanted to be able to, say, recover VAT. You need to register for VAT if the value of your taxable supplies exceeds £58,000.
If you were starting a serious business, there may be other issues to consider (eg partnership or company status) for tax and liability reasons. However, for selling a few prints online, this seems unlikely to be necessary.
