I learned a lot reading these forums. I had a lot of questions that I was going to ask. They had already been asked and answered.
Thanks to all.
The links were helpful too.

I had two shots to choose from and decided I like the shot better with the small amount of detail. Could be too much? I'm going to take my chances.

Totalled turtle - I would have loved to have seen that one. It is not everyday that you get to see a flying turtle. If you get to go back and do this, I think that throwing the flying turtle high enough so that you could capture the moment as it just covered the sun could be quite effective.

PS I like the way that you made sure that no-one thought that you were actually shooting the turtle with a gun - need to be careful of those "animal rights" movement people.

Beaflies... when posting a photo, click on the last box located just below your name, namely the "insert thumbnail link to site image" and in there place only the number of your image, and your photo will appear in the "message" box.

Hope this helps.

I like how the light is showing through the glass bulbs. Two strong subjects!

Could this shot be considered a silhouette?
05/13/2005 02:33:53 PM · #69
Maybe inverted...:-)

Edit: Serioutly, I would not consider this a silhouette as it is the primary object in the photo and well lit (compared to everything else in the photo). The negative space in a silhouette image would be lighter than the silhouette itself, or so I believe.

I may change my mind later, but that's how I feel right now about this particular image.
