Here's an article from my local online paper talking about the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P1

Have a great day everyone!

One problem: The solution doesn't work.
Sony already knew about this problem back in january 2002, if not earlier. In january 2002 my camera has had the 'treatment'. New internal connectors, new adaptor, new battery, tweaked firmware etc. One day later it showed the same problem and it still does. Sony Europe HQ said they knew about it, but did nothing for the others. Someone probably has threatened to sue them or something.

My conclusion is that the P1 is a piece of ....
The circuitry for the battery loading is faulty, I think they should redesign and replace the whole print plate and switch to other batteries.
This bad Sony experience has already caused me not to buy the F707 and I will try to never ever buy something with special batteries and internal loading systems ever again. I would buy the F717 and/or other Sony cameras as soon as they ditch their infolithium crap.

One very unhappy Sony customer.

edit:
Thanks for sharing the info Ayme.
