If you don't mind, I like to join you all. Just can't commit on a date, heavy ASA tourney schedule, but set the date and I'll do my best....ace

Wow, sounds awesome so far...I can make it on any of the days that are open right now--how about everyone else?
And it'll be at zoomdak's house, right, which is...on the coast somewhere right? Cannon Beach?

I'm envious of all you people who actually have vacations to plan around... wow... I haven't been on one of those in a decade or something! I'm an Oregonian... but I probably won't have my car fixed by then (knowing me) and chances are I'll be working a lot. Too bad though, sounds like it'll be fun :)

Saturday the 11th sounds fine to me. What time? Should we synchronize our watches?

05/08/2005 07:25:10 PM · #34
Depends on what we want to do.
Sunset definitely =), but maybe the forest, or other seascape scenes?
Maybe meet sometime like at noon/afternoon, then finish with sunset. We'll have dinner here at my house sometime during the day too (is that enough to persuade you mocabela?)

According to this website, sunset that day will be 9:05pm.

The 11th sounds good to me. So noontime-ish to sunset then?

I will have to double check our calendar upstairs, but I think the 11th probably works out well!

My wife and I and our son, "Zoomdak" are happy to host a DPC get-together on the Oregon Coast, Saturday, June 11th. We'll have appetizers and drinks out and ready at 5PM, with a BBQ dinner to follow at 6PM. Bring a side dish (salad, fruit/veggie, dessert) if you can. Sunset is at 9PM that night. So the photographers can head off for their evening photoshoot, while any non-photographers can enjoy a leisurely evening hanging around our house or strolling the beach at sunset. We live just two blocks from the beach on the north end of town. If you're planning to come, email or PM Zoomdak or Charliebaker, so we can get a headcount. Of course your spouse/partner/parents are welcome to join the fun. Come earlier if you'd like and enjoy some of that north coast Cannon Beach hospitality. We'll get maps sent out to everyone who's coming. Thanks Christie for your cool idea. Let's make it happen!

Well, maybe next time ;)

So, Saturday the 11th. If everyone planning on coming will PM me their email addresses, so I can send out emails to all the group instead of PM'ing everyone individually. Looking foward to seeing ya'll down here =).

Oh, great... another triangular shaped and/or silhouette of Haystack Rock picture.

Are you trying, once again, to steal ribbons away from legitimate residents of another state? LOL.

Do you go to EVERY DPC get together no matter where in the world it is? :)

And if there isn't one where I'm going, I create my own! Stay tuned...

Edit: And let's just say that my challenge submission will not be readily identifiable as coming from Oregon, LOL. And I VERY much doubt it will ribbon.

My mouth is watering as I see the building. I wish I could sit at the bench and have a large bowl right now. I've been in that one and in Newport & Florence. They're all good. Sorry I can't join ya, hope ya have fun. VAn

I still need an email address from Ron (itripn)
