I was browsing e-bay for a DSLR, and came across a listing for a Pentax ist DS, looked at it, and it seemed oddly familiar. Then I remembered! I saw the exact same camera, exact same lenses, and even exact same description on the Ritz camera website.... is this a violation of some kind? not to mention the fact that the e-bayer was charging about $50 more than Ritz, plus the S/H.

Lots of people steal photos/text from other sites and use on Ebay. I have also wondered about that but they seem to get away with it. ?

I just thought it was a bit pathetic. even the hyper links in the description worked.... not just your typical cut and paste job..... funniest thing is that it was a 7 day listing with one day left and NO bids.... wonder why.

just read through their feed back, even the positive feedback. Just becareful cause some people never ship out products. I just got my camera from ebay as a package no problems at all. So just becareful cause alot of the people on ebay are from these websites that get horrible ratings.

It is a good idea to check out the prices at reputable dealers before committing to buy from anyone on eBay. Often the seller is advertising a product that he will acquire at a lower price after you send him the money. Ritz does not have a terrific reputation either, but many are worse. Cameta Camera seems to be somewhat better but occasionally offer refurbished products without making that fact obvious.
The seller's feedback rating is the best guide, anything less than 98% is suspect.
For commercial dealers, check customer feedback at resellerratings.com

All great advice! I'd add that I've rarely seen up-to-date camera equipment go on e-bay for much less than at reputable on-line stores. To me it's not worth the risk.
Now, older or obscure equipment, that's another story!

buyEssex

Hey I hope yall dont think this is spamming, but this guy has lots of cameras, batteries, chargers, bags, tons of electronics, used, new, broke, some minor repairs....

I might regret telling yall when I dont get what I want...Anyways he is trusted and he states what ever the problem is on all listingss that is apperent to him....shipping is high but he gets it to you in a reasonable time...and for the $ .99 cent starting price you can't go wrong on some things..
Really though if your into fixing and repairing things or you have something needing a part its well worth it as well so check him out you wont regret it >>>(like I will)<<<< Just kidding, hoping to pass on a good thing and help someone..

It's an animated gif file. You just have to add {img}//yourwebsite.com/???.gif{/img} to your signature line. (Replacing with your website and file names.) Replace the "{}" with "[]" in your text.

It needs to be a small file, and it doesn't look like it can reside on DPC's website. My ID was actually based on the type of train in the picture, so I thought it appropriate.
