So Robt - what took you so long?
Can't use "I tripped" - that's my catch-all excuse.
Seriously though, congrats - long overdue. |

I thank you all very much. However, for the record, I've never thought a lack of ribbons my work "wasn't recognized"; from the beginning, many, many perople whose opinions I value have commented favorably on what I do. The ribbon is wonderful, I love it, but the sense of appreciation from, and belonging to, a community liek this is far more important to me.
Viva DPC!
We now return you to your usual ration of oddball images and high 4's, low 5's from me :-)
Robt.

Robert congratulations on your ribbon.
It's also nice to see someone get rewarded, that puts quality, hearfelt effort and time into this site, as an all around member.

I was reading some of the comments after the challenge ended and I didnt even realize who the shooter was till I started seeing bear and Robert. I had to do a double take and look at the submission and I even went as far as clicking on it just to make sure it wasnt a mistake. Well done Bear.

Robert gives me hope! He tries out different ideas (that sometimes bomb in the eyes of DPCers). I do that (and bomb!). It's fun to try out ideas and learn what the majority likes and hates. Anyway, he perseveres, and I hope to do the same. It's just way too much fun! |

LOL, this has gotta be a double-edged sword for Robert... He likes to paint himself as the sort of out-there, nonconformist. Now he's gone and ribboned on us and blew that image all to heck!
Seriously, it's good to see him on the front page. Great work Row-bear! |
