Stop voting in the morning people!!! You all are grumpy, and you drive my (our) scores down, making me (us?) grumpy!!!!

Have a shower, cup of coffee, and slice of pie. Read the paper for a while. Play fetch with the dog. Kiss and hug your family. Be happy!

THEN VOTE!

:-)

What about shift workers? Maybe they're voting at the end of their day.

Oh, was that your picture I scored a 1? I'm feeling less grumpy now and I'll bump it up to a 3...Better? ;)

I'll wait. It's gotta be afternoon before i vote, you know, after i commute home, all 'happy' from the traffic, congetions, fumes, and idiots. yelling at the dog, kicking the wife, beating the kids just can't compare to the release i get voting here on DPC!

Some of us were commenting on this in another thread earlier this morning. And it is holding true once again today...my score is dropping once again during the day. My only relief is that it seems to go back up a little in the evening, so hopefully before the voting is done tonight, I'll recover today's losses! What is that all about anyway? Why do you think that happens?

Months ago it was suggested as the world rotates different countries' members vote and that cultural variations on interpretaions might be the cause of it.

What i have noticed is that once th evointg hits 120 or so votes, I can predict the end score (about .1 to .2 higher, give or take).

Generally i see a drop for a day or so after day 1, and then it flucutates until the last day, when it generally rises, and then when the troll votes are pulled i get that last little push.

I have been watching my Minimalism closely, as it started at 5.998 and has flirted with 6.0 for a week. My all time highest is 6.02, so you can understand my interest. Today I have been at 6.028 to 6.0437(current). If trends hold true, i should finish close to 6.1. We'll see.

Well, my scores climb in the morning after people have gotten a good night's sleep but decline in the afternoon and evening. Now I see it's because of people like you! lol

Hey Prof...looks like you and I are running neck-and-neck in this thing. I too am hoping for a little final push at the end. This too, is my best score to date. Good luck Prof...hope it goes well for you!

So much for a "push". Just went back and someone gave me another one of those damn 4's.

I don't know about time of day voting, but for me, if I vote on a large group of photos, my scores tend to drift down towards the latter photos. And like the very first good picture of a flower or something might get a good score, but the more I see of the same thing, the lower the score I give. But then I always go back when I am done and look at the thumbnail view a day or so later and adjust my scores based on a more comparative view.

...and although I didn't mention it above, a few beers always bumps my average score given up a little - although my comments become slurred. :)

Okay, someone's playing games here. I just got a '2'. What's up with that! Let the nighttime get here very quickly please!

How do you know what score someone gave you? Or did you calculate it based on the change in the Average Vote number?

The math geeks track their score one vote at a time. ;oP

Ugh, last night I went to bed with a 5.97. I've been at about that since the start. I was over 6 for a very short time, a the lowest I saw it at was a 5.95. When I got up I ws at a 5.96, but now I'm at a 5.89. I really hope it goes up. Who knows if I'll ever have a shot at over 6 again.
