And it's also clear that many people don't really read, or take on board, the challenge's sub-title: which is the same comment as saying people interpret the challenges very literally.

I personally gave you a 5. I think it was because I thought your photo wasn't very interesting/arresting. I like the idea, but thought it was poorly lit resulting in a very flat image - just taking away the colour wasn't enough. Is there a colour version of it we could see? It would make an interesting comparison to see the difference - would certainly be informative about techniques for B&W photography.
