This is an interesting site that I am sure most of you are well aware of. In addition to invaluable camera reviews, each month they have a photo contest where first place gets a camera, then second place is typically a printer, and third place batteries and some media card. What blows my mind is that lots of times, the second and third place prizes are better than the first place! Just look at this month's prizes here (you'll have to scroll down a bit). Not that the camera is bad, but that 2nd place prize is downright cool!
Anyhoo, it's also an interesting place to visit as there are often DPC entries featured. I'm not sure if any DPC'ers have ever won there, but it's bound to happen some day.

| I'd much rather have 20 gigs than an Oly super-zoom. Hold a year's worth of Jpeg's or 3 months of RAW's! |

| If I remember right Steves is more luck of the draw then anything else...you can submit one a month and PTOD is drawn randomly??? |

I'm confused...I couldn't find anything about a subject? Is there a topic or do you just submit anything. I like the contest on //www.agfanet.com except I placed 21st once and got 10 free rolls of agfa film...what do I do with that when I only own digital? lol.

Just anything... It's a random drawing so it doesn't matter what you submit.

From what I've seen, it's luck of the draw to get posted, and then 'judges' select the winners from the randomly posted pic's. I've only seen high quality shots on that site, not necessarily prize-winning shots, but technically proficient, none the least.
So, why not submit and hope for the best (2nd place)?

The photo of the day is randomly selected. POTM are judged.
And I won a camera there =)

Is that competition limited to the USA or do they ship their prizes in other countries as well?
