Looks a lot like a Camellia, but I doubt it is, somehow.

| It's certainly a type of cherry tree - there are many types. It has many petals per blossom (up to 100, perhaps). In Japan, I think this one is called botanzakura, which means peony cherry. Evidently, it was grafted from two different trees, hence the pink and white mixed petals. |
