Half the time I just type my [ b ] and [ /b ] as I go but every now and then I like to be able to format some of what I've written using the BOLD button provided in the post reply/ new thread screen.
I noticed a couple of weeks ago that it now just adds [ b ] text [ /b ] to the end of my post rather than positioning the commands around the selected text.
I meant to post this earlier but forgot.

It has never functioned any differently. This is a browser behavior, and I'm not aware of any way to offer any other functionality.

Oh.
I must be thinking of other sites I use then.
In some forums when one selects text and clicks on a bold button such as the one here, the html commands are inserted around the selected text, not around the word "text" at the end.
Hmmm...

Apologies... I was thinking of ezboard forums - the bold button there works as I've described above.
