I have theard that in Photoshop you can automate commands. By this I mean you can decide to coloradjust, resize and save to a subdirectory on a group of pictures by setting up a string of commands and applying them to a set of photos.

Have I heard rightly or do I need to clean out my ears?

Yes, you can run a batch file on a directory of images as long as all those images need the same adjustments.

File > Automate > Batch

Select the action you want to use on the images, the folder the images are located, the folder you want to save the edited images etc. Should be fairly straightforward for basic batch processing.
