Check with your local camera Store... they usually have extra lens caps.... your Manual for your 20D can be downloaded from the web site.

I lost the cap to one of my cannon lenses. The local suburban stores didnt stock genuine Canon caps.

For me it was Ebay to the rescue. It came in perfect condition and even with the overpriced shipping everyone charges it was way cheaper than ordering it would have been.

A generic cap will work unless you want to pay twice as much and order from Canon.

When I started working at the newspaper I shoot for the first thing I was told that I should loose my lens capses as soon as possible. Because sometimes you don't have time taking it of when you are in your car and see something happening outside.

Instead of getting the Canon cap, get a Tamron cap, the "center pinch" kind. I bought several 77mm Tamron caps and use them on my 70-200/2.8 and 24-70L. Lends new meaning to "LOL".

You might also want to check with Best Buy, Radio Shack, Circut City or Frys.

The 17-40L takes 77mm filters, same as many other "L" class lenses. A circular poloarizer this size is expensive, though you should be able to get a B+W for under $200.
