I'm sure that this has been mentioned before but I would really like to look thru challenge entries in full size after the challenge is over.
Unfortunately I have been too crazy to ener challenges myself & as a result have been more interested in others' shots for challenges. Each time a challenge finishs I like to look thru the shots in the order they placed after the voting has ended. I find it a bit tedious to look at them in full size one after the other, haivng to return to the thumbnails page each time.
Is it possible to organize them in a manner much like the voting, where one could see the challenge shots in full size as well?
Thanks & Peace

How about having that feature for browsing any gallery?

Firstly this would have to be optional, loading a pages with a few 150k files on it will choke a dialup user for minutes at a time. Also The amount of bandwidth used on the server will skyrocket if this is installed. I don't know what kind of plan this site is on, but bandwidth isn't free.

If you first go back to the thumbs page and then to a photo's page, you use more bandwidth than you would scrolling through the photo pages in order in slideshow fashion. |

However, an easy workaround is to open the thumbs page, then right-click (PC) on the image you want to see and view it in a new window or tab. When you're done, the thumbs page is still there waiting for you to select another photo, without having to reload it. |

The intention is not to have one page with all full size images but to have the ability to move from one to the next in a similar fashion as during voting.

I use Maxthon browser and open each picture on its own tab, allow them to load, and view each tab. Easy. maxthon |

Ok well that certainly is different from what I pictured... Yes a linked list or a ring would be nice, and it would be simple to implement too! |

I hear ya but this is not what I mean. I mean that you can go from one pic on one page to the next pic on the next page much like when voting.

I like this idea a lot.
With that said, I do see a design issue in that a "previous" and "next" button might be ambiguous on the image pages.
For example, if I go from the Challenge Results page to the page for the 3rd-place entry, I would expect that the "next" button would take me to the 4th-place entry, and the "previous" would take me to the 3rd place entry.
If I hit the same page from the list of recent challenge entries in the photographer's profile, I would expect "next" to take me to their next later entry, and "previous" to take me to their next earlier entry.
If I hit the same page from the list of highest ranked entries in the photographer's profile, I would expect "next" to take me to the next-lower ranked of his or her entries, and "previous" to take me to the next higher-ranked entry.
If I hit the same page from the photographer's profile, I would expect those buttons to navigate that profile folder.
From any browse images page, I would expect those buttons to move through that particular browse list.
Any suggestions on how to disambiguate this? I really do like this idea and would love to make it work.

That's interesting Terry. Dunno but there has to be wiz tech ppl here that could help out.
I am getting more & more into other members fotography (just about to by doom watch print by imagineer) & I would really like to browse with ease thru some of the less popular pics (read: those that scroed low) that are just as good to me as the ribbon winners.
If I can help make this happen I would be more than happy, but a las, I know just what I know about 'puters & nothing more. :(
Anyone else out there?
