Scenario..
Say I am on DPC and Hit "Ctrl-N", I would expect the same page to come up, but instead it loads my homepage.
Verus IE, when I hit "Ctrl-N" it duplicates the same page I am viewing.
Is there a setting In firefox I am missing to do this? |

Why do you want to open a new window? Use tabs :)
to answer your question: I don't know. |

CTRL+N opens a new window to your homepage. Not sure how to do what you are talking about.

I do use tabs-- but sometimes It would be quicker just to CTRL-N, to get the same page on screen.
I find it quicker say when I am posting pics to a thread, and quickly pull up dpc again, goto my profile for the image Id's to post.
Verus going to my bookmarks and loading the page again..
I know this is very anal, but its bugging me.. |

You can always use a bookmark for DPchallenge in "Bookmark toolbar folder". I find that very helpful. Just right-click on the 'dpchallenge' button in the toolbar and it opens up in a new tab. |

It's possible to change it so Ctrl+N opens a copy of the current window. I know because mine works like that. Only problem is... I forgot how. Sorry. Try the Fx boards. |

Can you view extensions (Tools > Extensions) and look to see if you could find the extension you enabled to do this?

This extension will open a new window as the current window: //extensionroom.mozdev.org/more-info/clonewindow
(thanks to singe for giving me the name of the extension)

Hey, I know this thread died a while ago, but I just got a new Firefox extension that people who benefitted from this post might enjoy. It's called twoview and it splits the current tab into two (only when you want it to) I suggest you check it out https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&category=Newest&numpg=10&id=678
edit- I'm still playing with this and its properties. let me know what you think
