I received this comment from someone about one of my photos. I donĂ¢€™t know who left the comment so I canĂ¢€™t ask them directly. I am wondering what b&w is referring to.
HereĂ¢€™s the comment:
"interesting use of theme, nice capture, nice lines, b&w need work, color outstancing"
I always thought b&w meant black and white but the picture is a full color picture so I donĂ¢€™t think that is what it means. Does anyone have any ideas?

Could possibly mean that your lights and darks are off - this can be corrected with changing the black and white points in levels. Even if an image is in color there is a lightest 'spot' and a darkest 'spot.' this person might be referring to these. Some people believe that there should be 'black' and 'white' points in every image. It's another one of those 'rules' of photography to which some people adhere.

| Maybe a combination of an image that isn't full of primary colors plus a dull display on a monitor... |
