Nice work

It is a very nice image and could be representative of a dream. Some people do dream in technicolour and in great detail. The problem is remembering dreams once you wake up.

Something with more mystery to it like a soft focus around the person walking on the road is another idea.

It might...I mean do they mean what dreams like when you sleep or dreams and asiprations. I am not sure.

I am Bi Polar, PTSD, OCD and I do not think people really want to see what my dreams are like. Definately would get shot down in a second.

i think maybe a mass of flowers probably help alot though i can t remember flowers in my dreams ever..i probably forgot

I think that can work. Hopefully people won't be too strict on the interpretation of what can and can't be a dream.

Now how am I going to take a picture of an evil clown with blood dripping from his mouth, chasing me through a pine forest with a meat cleaver????

How's this for the dream challenge?
Seriously, please comment as this was taken hand-held without flash with ISO 1000 and 200mm focal distance...

OH man....after we came back from Maui last year we had withdrawals and dreams for like 6 months of Hawaii! Hopefully we'll be able to go back next year! (fingers crossed)

In regards to the picture....I like it really well...the only problem I see is that it's had a lot of PS work done it. I'm not good at PS yet...but I can tell when it's been done too much to a photo. I'm on an Flat screen here at work and a laptop at home...so the screen may have something to do with it.

u have a good eye
it has indeed some coarse edits but also a dealof fine tuning
im also trying to find my way to translate the things i learned in a darkroom to photoshop wich is more and more fun
i agree the finishing off might need half an hour extra
(my lazy nature)

on the "meet the challenge" topic - I would consider it meeting the challenge. I'd give it 6 initially, and then perhaps bump it up on the second pass depending on the other images in the challenge.

Very nice shot, seems to be some noise in the sky but could be compression too. Many years ago with my hay fever and allergies this photo would have been a nightmare for me.

Now the question is do you dream on color or B/W?

i think the majority will associate B/W with nightmares and colour more for the happy dreams

maybe a good challenge to proof that statement wrong

Nice image but for me appears too flat to really suggest a dream state to the view.

What I vision as a dream state is slow exaggerated motion, tunnel visionish (soft egdes) with sort of a zoom-in/zoom-out effect.

This is exaggerated zoom-in (xero soft vignette plug-in) but kind of shows the idea that I visualize when I think dream shot. I wouldn't do final this drastic...and maybe just really soft/misty edges would suffice.

DrJones has been posting Dream entries for a long time.

I just posted the 1st Dreams entry.

It was too easy....that's got me a bit concerned. Hmmmmmmm.

I think this will be one of the better challenges across the board just by looking at what's on this thread alone.

....love the birthday suit.
