My Minimalism got DQ'ed and It was my own stupid fault..
I used the history brush for the Deselective Saturation.
The original shot had the same BG color as the bear (cream), and I Thought it would look better in B&W.
It was a brain fart, I wasn't trying to cheat, I just wasn't thinking.
Even when I subbed the original and detailed my editing process (for the admins/counsel), It didn't occur to me that I did something wrong.
I guess I am getting stupid in my old age.
I just wanted everyone to know I wasn't trying to do something illegal intentionally..
It wasnt doing well anyway, 5.4 (7 comments)..
I apologize for my stupidity.. :)
Heres the Shot..

Aww, I liked the one! Too bad... I thought it was adorable, and great for the challenge. |

I did the same thing once with a basic challenge and only realized it after the voting had started. My photo was DQed in the file of shame. I was humiliated and felt really stupid.
Stuff happens. :) |

I've come very close to doing the same thing, simply because I don't often submit to the basic editing challenges. It's almost second nature to use some of these tools for me now, and I have to keep reminding mself, "no selection tools, no selection tools" LOL.

I used the multiply mode on one of my basic editing challenges after doing so many member challenges and was DQed (I described my process in my notes of the photo). We live and learn!
