Today I came across a photo in a challenge that was a great photo. Even if one did not like the idea or concept it was still a decent photo. And yet there was one vote which gave it a "1". This perplexed me...
But then I recall reading that a few people mark photos they want to come back to with a "1". Well, what happens if you never come back. Said photo, which might be a great photo, receives a penalized score.
So I thought (especially with some of these 500+ entry challenges) that perhaps it'd be useful to add a "Follow-up" or "Return for Review". This way if you're unsure of what vote to give or you want to comment but don't have the time.
What do you all think? wouldn't this be a nice feature? |

Personally I don't recall anyone suggesting to mark a photo with a 1...I've heard of 4's and 5's. Using a 1 would be dangerous, just for the reason you've stated. However, if someone is in such a hurry and can't remember to come back do you think they would really use the "Flag"?
Another way to come back around on your votes is to return to the thumbnail view of challenge entries and go to the last page. That will have the images you've scored the lowest and you can take action on them then if you care to (bump up/down, etc...). |

Oh I was NOT advocating the "1", just saying I had heard of that method.

I hear ya Jason - wasn't insinuating that you advocated using a '1' as a marker...just hadn't heard of that being mentioned before, I must have missed it - which is easy to do considering the volume of forum posts. ;^) |
