Decided to try some of these lens off ebay. I paid like $89.95 for a 2x telephoto and a .45x wide angle/macro lens. They came with lens covers for both len's front and back and a 55mm to 52mm adpater. They do not seem to bad. The wideangle seems to help alot on macro shots.
I also recieved as a "bonus" some filters...Polarizer...UV...something called FD. They seem ok but I have not taken any pictures outside yet.
Since the $50.00 Fuji rebate this camera is around $199.00 and with the lens it puts it in at $300 or so. I think the camera is a steal at that price. Will try to take some smaple pictures for people. |

The lens are made in Japan and says"Merkury Optics". The wideangle definately works. At an object 5 feet away I can see 3 feet on either side than the stock lens.
One thing I do not like about the camera is when you zoom it does not show when your going into digital mode. My old Panasonic had a break point on the lcd and showed when you went into digital.
On the len's they had a snap on stock looking cover for the wide angle and the telephoto was jsut a slip on and off. |

The zoom lens sucks IMO, I dropped and broke mine, I won't buy another zoom lens from ebay. Maybe from fuji. I have had good luck with the wide angle. |

Yeah I didn't really want the 2x zoom but will give it a chance. Their was a 3x popular brand zoom lens off ebay but it was $119.95 |
