Was credit given for the images? If not then that's the first thing to deal with. If credit was given then thank the poster for the exposure (no pun intended) however politely indicate that a request to use the photo would have been appreciated.

It would depend on the circumstances of course.
If they were showing my photo in a negative way I'd ask them to explain their reasoning. Are they just rude or just ignorant?
Bottom line: I'd have a poor opinion of the person that did that. |

Not it is to affect... the person in question is trying to pick a sort of fight...

Not a problem for me either. In a way, I would feel sort of honoured since many pictures are submitted to this site and are hardly ever seen.
On the other hand, if they selected your shot to slag it for no apparent reason, I would politely ask why they are treating your picture in such a derogatory manner. If you feel you've been wronged, you can always contact the site administrators, but always give it some thought first. No use flying off the handle.
Man, I hope this makes sense. I just gpt up from an overtime shift at the airport, and my brain feels like mush...

Any chance of a link so we can see the situation in detail rather than just discussing concepts?

Mine is the one on the right
This start because people were participaiting in the challenges with the same photos of previous challenges... i reponded to a forum asking people not to do this... and i said something like this... Are people out of creativity or what, if the challenges are anonimous why do people keep on posting photos of previous challenges... then we now who they are... Are people just greedy to get the number 1 or what... and this started a revolution to this girl in particuler...
So i posted that photo in my galery and she said that i was without creativity and that i should not post photos similar to hers because she said it was illegal to do that...
So she decided to take my photo withou permisson and do this... and ask the people if they thought this was legal to do... so this is the bascis of it.

Is this person complaining because you and she both posted pictures of a flower? Heck in that case there are a whole load of poeple she can complain to.
As for her use of your image - it belongs to you and while someone using it would normally be good exposure it hardly seems fair for them to use your own picture to beat you up. If you don't want her using it then ask her to remove it.

From what I can see (as you said) she is accusing you of copying her work, in this case (the image of the flower) her comments are pointless as it's such a common subject and form of presentation. Furthermore, to take the attitude of an image being copied is rather pointless, should we all credit Ansel Adams everytime we take a B/W landscape?
I can see you point of view, in this matter I'd be annoyed if someone had presented my work in such a manner, is it was a case of using my work to show how an improvement can be made then I'd be happy if I could benefit from the comments - but in this matter that is not the case.
May I suggest that you have a look at the Creative Commons license, it may not stop people doing what they do, but at least it's a form of clearly stating your standpoint on the use of your images.
Dunno if what I've said is of much use :)

Then I would politely ask them to remove it. If that doesn't work then contact the site administration of the site where it is posted.
