Iam very pleased with my first challenge results i know i didnt place any where near first but i promise iam not that far so grab your seat belts lol

here is my challenge entry if you look at the commons it was obviously noted to be well done but i really shot my self in the leg messing with the colors but you know they say you cant learn how to cook with out making mistakes . . . . i guess its the same in photography
I jus wanted to thank everyone for there votes and there comments iam very happy to have participated and for those of you who encouraged me to enter a challenge i finally did and i already entered the jewlelry challenge that image isnt being percived that well but i already know why to much senor dust on my picture i was rushing oh well theres always the moods challenge thanks again everyone!

You're right about the overprocsessing still, but the closer crop and colors are a big step up from the one you entered.

Although I don't really like the greenish tone of the submitted one I do feel it is better than the other link you have...I think most (me included) would have preferred straight b/w. Take this one for example,
//www.sabphotography.com/P6122487b.JPG in color (don't have sorry) it was very nice but everyone loved it in b/w.

This picture btw is in no way a perfect picture so don't think I'm bragging about my own work. :)

Good job btw and good luck in the future.

Thats nice but your right if you look at the comments to many people agree with you everybody cant be wrong lol

I like the shot posted in the link Leon, maybe because the green just doesn't hit me as the right color..I believe someone suggested b&w, that's a good idea..i would experiment with it. congratulations on finally entering a contest! I have only been a member for 4 months but it's been fun and the people here, for the most part, are very supportive in the forums and with comments on pics.
