I attended a local pep rally for the Cleveland Fusion, an all womans pro football team, with my daughter Emily. I was snapping some candid shots when I was approached by the marketing director of the team at the end of the event. He said that the photographer failed to show up for the event and wanted to know if I would share my photos with the team. While I wish I had taken better shots, I sent him what I had, and they published some on their web site recently, he gave my daughter and I season tickets to the home games as a thank you. Nothing like opportunity knocking with a strange twist of fate to make your day huh?
Congrats - those are some great shots btw!
(was wondering if "dumb luck" was the name of the publisher at first)

That's a pretty cool turn of events Bob. Nice trading card. Hope you and Emily enjoy the Fusion games. And take your camera in case their photog pulls another no-show. Could become a regular gig.

That is cool, I wonder how many others get chances like that.. Though here where I live every event I go to there is always someone with a camera.. One photographer I see regular, has the biggest lense on the camera I have no idea how any one could hold it.. I guess that would give me reason to perhaps ask him one day since I am familiar with his work...
