A Great Dane spotted at a local fair yesterday.
Though these were just quick snapshots with 420mm of fixed lens, you can kinda' get an idea as to his size.
The gentleman walking him was about 6'2"-6'4" by the way.

No saddle either - LOL - Dang that was a big dog!

Super...I had an uncle many years ago who had a St Bernard, he had a saddle made and used to give us all a ride on it, complete with barrel, but we were too young for a sample drink as well :)

YIKES! You wouldn't want to piss of that dog! That little girl could easily ride that dog!

Funny that you saw this because I also saw one yesterday. It was more like a small horse than a large dog - much bigger than the young children that were with it!

I've known a few great danes, and they all had NO idea about their own size - everyone of them seemed to think he was a lap dog.

One in particular would come running to sit on my lap the moment I sat down on the couch.

That true. My puppy is 120# at 16mo. and feels that she belongs on my lap.
