i used all my 25mb space and its a bit of a mess(schmitt)
im not in a mood for tutorials
any handy practical tips or ideas around?? |

Hi Wil,
I too have made a mess, dumped it all before and started over and tried to figure out a reasonable way to sort them.
Take a look at my portfolio arrangement and see if it helps any.

Make the file sizes smaller or delete older images or images without favorites or comments. |

maybe thats a good idea to start all over again soo i got a clue what im doing

drop to dos prompt and type format c:
press 'Y' for yes and your all set.
Then start a thread about why your computer won't start and you had to use your backup PC to start this thread.
edit: do not try this at home kids, I am a professional. At what were not sure yet.

If you've got some images in there with large file sizes (>150k), you could resize and/or recompress them on your home 'pooter and replace (update) the copies on DPC, reducing your overall space without losing comments or killing links in threads. For most shots, you can compress to less than 100k before artifacts become noticeable. unless you absolutely want the highest display quality for a shot, consider compressing to 100k or 50% quality level, whichever is greater.

took me about 4 hours of concentration to get some order in that mess
wasn 't that bad after all i admit
i think im happy with it sofar
any comments on my first time reorganisation woud be nice
though i wont be reading them if any till tomorrow
i ve had it
