We've all had the experience of missing a shot for whatever reason. Now, intentionally try to miss a shot but come up with an interesting composition.

Take action for instance....
Have you ever snapped the shutter to just have the tail end/front end of something you're trying to photograph actually in the frame? Try and do that intentionally with one catch the composition has to work rather than just look like you missed the shot.
