Ithaca GTG --- May 15th - DPChallenge Forums

I'm starting this final thread to gather names/email addresses of everyone interested in meeting for the Ithaca GTG. So far, I believe these people are interested:

May 15th has the most votes and June 5th came in second. So, if it's okay with everyone we will meet on May 15.

Please throw out ideas for a meeting place and time and suggestions on where to shoot.

Also, please email me at jen_u_win (at) hotmail.com with your name if you plan on attending.

Neil - If you are indeed joining us, will you be staying overnight? Which day would you arrive? I could help you locate a place to stay...and if you are coming early, maybe we could meet up earlier. I'd be happy to show you around.

I should be able to attend. We have a family wedding in town that Sat. but I think I can get away for Sunday. Here are some ideas for places to meet/go:

Treman State Park - nice gorge, trails and waterfalls
Stewart Park - nice view of the lake, good people watching
Taughannock State Park - falls, trail, overlook
Cornell Plantations - gardens should be in bloom

I'm happy to pick up some bagels on my way, or we could meet at one of the coffee shops in town, such as Ithaca Bakery on Route 13.

egsite/Gary - I was thinking about some of those same places, too. The Ithaca Bakery would be a good meeting places. It should be easy to find for everyone.

What does everyone like to shoot? Did you guys want to shoot nature or The Commons/downtown, or both? It doesn't matter to me.

Would love to join you but alas the 15th is the weekend of my oldest daughter's birthday and Sunday is the youngest daughter's riding lessons :(

I have the date of May 15 saved for a get together in Ithaca--no matter how many of us there are. The bakery is an o.k. place to start, but can be quite busy--it is at least easy to find and easy to wait in.

Let's hear some more yes-I'll-comes!

It doesn't matter to me where we shoot as I've been all over up there and just think it'd be great to wander around like a gang of thieves (paparazzi, or whatever).

(And Jen, I'm planning on going to the Lepp thing-I owe you an e-mail--soon.)
