I got a weird problem. Yesterday, I've downloaded some new fonts. Now today, even when I use Arial or Times New Roman... I don't have lower cases anymore... It just type a capital letter smaller... How do I get my lower cases back? Is there some setting I can change back in Photoshop, It seems I tried everything...

Thanks!

That is really strange. I haven't loaded any new fonts lately but I'm stuck in "small caps" mode also. Looking for the solution, I'll let you know if I find it.

Ssome weird thing happened to me today, just like that, if u continuosly hold SHIFT oin the keyboard. It messed up, and the letters were going like that. All capitols, and the lower case were smaller versions only

Got it. With NO document open, open up the Character pallette and if the "small caps" button is active, click it to deactivate it. This defaults to whatever was used last, apparently, and there's some sort of keyboard shortcut to activate it (like contrl-u gives you underlined text); I must have accidentally activated it. Anyway you can turn it off.

You can fix this on text that you've already typed as well. If you open the character window and use the text tool to select the text you've entered, you can turn off the small caps by hitting the TT icon (second T is a smaller cap, it's next to the two big TT icon) in the character window. Personally, I like small caps for some things :)
