Nikon is full of new changes in an effort to control their market share. In addition to announcing their new D50 + D70s digital camera's. They have also announced that existing owners of the D70 can get a new firmware update.

The firmware update includes the following additions and refinements:

Improved performance for the 5-area autofocus system's Dynamic Area AF and Closest Subject Priority Dynamic Area AF modes.

Updated menus with a new design similar to that of the D70s, making them easier to view and quicker to recognize.

Added in-camera page setup support for PictBridge compatible printers. Nikon Corporation will release the D70 firmware updater worldwide in mid-May 2005.

In addition to the above Nikon has also produced two new lens.
The 18-55 lens, with F/3.5-5.6, comes in black or silver will available with the new Nikon D50 as a kit for $100 more.
As well as the 55-200mm F/4-5.6. Keep it coming Nikon...
