Is there any way we can get the "Current Polls" box moved below the "My Submissions" box? With it in it's current location, I have to scroll down the page to click the update button. Scrolling the page 30-40 times an hour to click update button is starting to become tedious!

Think of it as our small contribution towards the prevention of repetitive-motion injury, trying to get you under ten times/hour ... : ) |

If the survey was all the way down, and not "in your face - so to speak", the number of responses would be a bit smaller I imagine. Not really defending the decision, just thinking as a web developer...
I feel your pain - with 4 items in voting that update button is a ways down there! ;^)

I like the poll on the top - that way I see it. Sometimes, when it is under "My Submissions" I miss the poll because I don't see it. |

Apparently certain admins and site council don't realize how badly we want our update button. ANYTHING that stands in the way is BAAAAAAD.
Now let me at that sucker...

I seem to remember numerous recent threads lamenting the deplorable performance of the site's servers, with extrememly long page-load times and other problems. Maybe we should see if the situation improves if we remove the "Update" link for a week ... |

I'm assuming it would improve dramatically, since 70% of the DPC population would be moved to Sanitariums after about 2 days! I can see it now, hundreds of photographers wandering the streets mumbling "Must update, must update, must update"

I have an idea. Why not just move the 'Update' button to the top of 'My Submissions'? Make everybody happy...
Even without a poll I have to scroll. ;^)
Just a poet and don't know it! He-he, Ha-ha...Arrrrggghhh.
Must be just the THOUGHT of losing the update button for a week is sending me over the edge!!!

Okay, time for a once-in-a-lifetime bod genius moment. Please don't blink and miss it!
Grab the update button and drag it to the links/bookmarks toolbar of your browser.
Instant always-at-the-top update button : )

Haha! Now that's dangerous! I'll be hitting the update button every minute now! I have my favorite links in their own horizontal toolbar under the top toolbar of my browser. |

Cool Bod! I had available real estate up top AND it's less distance to travel. You genius you... ;^)

Now that's what I call a solution. WTG bod!
I only use the update button once or twice a week, the hourly updates are enough for me. And we don't have polls running very often. But bod hit a home run that makes everyone happy.

Genr'l, I hope the intended humor in my post was apparent. Maybe not. Shoulda used a smiley. ;-) |
