Hey,

I am using my Canon20D with the Sigma EF-500 DG Superflash and have run into some problems...

Anyone else out there using this combination?

I am having problems with the wireless configuration.

The flash does trigger wireless as a slave, using the on camera flash as master, but it is slightly off, which means it is usesless as such. I have tried all different settings and I can't seem to get it to work right.

Has anyone been able to work this out?

Would a PC to Hot Shoe Adapter work? Like This ?? Would that work with the Sigma super DG?

Any help Appreciated..

Hi-ho,

Assuming that the EF-500 is the same as the canon 550 & 580 ex type flashes...

You need another EF-500 on the camera to fire the slave flash.. The internal flash on the 20D dosn't have the required 'smarts' to fire the EF-500..

There is no 'manual' mode for the internal flash, so you can't even use it to fire using traditional optical slave type slaves, so that's not an option either if the EF-500 has a manual slave mode...

Cheers, Me.
