Had to do some cropping to get this set up for a print. If you have the time, hit the print link at the bottom of the picture after it loads to compare them. I would like your opinions if the end result was too much of a compromise. Thanks!

If you meant upload it to offer as a print, when you are in your portfolio there is a link at the bottom of the page where you can upload a larger version of your image for review to offer for sale in the DPCPrints area. Check out the link at the top of your page for some very neat information.

I think the crop could work however I would crop more on the right and leave more on the left or try to crop it to a square which may work even better.

Isn't the original 1.25:1? (or very close) This would give you an 8x10.

very close, but only print offered at that ratio was 20 x 24 and that limits options, besides, my dpi was low for that size. I am really not sure how the ratio / print size thing is calculated. I should do more research.

It looks like you would have to crop less to get an 8 x 10 (1.25:1) as apposed to the current 8 x 12 (1.5:1) since the original ratio is 1.20:1.

The easiest way to figure out the aspect ratio of your picture is to divide the short side number of pixels into the long side number of pixels, i.e. 640 / 525 = 1.22. To see what 1.25 would be divide 640 by 1.25 = 512 or just enter the ratio when using the crop tool. Just leave the box for dpi blank.

Math...right... it's starting to make sense...

Edit 1 - Cropped to 1.25:1 much closer to original, now submitting.

You can also look up the dimensions you need for each aspect ratio in this handy table of print sizes.
