I am about to puke when I think of the competency of Canon Factory Service. I was wondering if Nikon had any new high end bodies coming out soon. I would sell every Canon body and lens I have if Nikon had something to replace them with.

Why not the D2X?

Downgrade?

There have been a lot of tests that have shown the D2X is comparable to 1DS Mark II in Image quality.
The D2X is 12 MP.

I read Planet Neil all the time, this guy knows his stuff, he posted a FUNNY review on the D2X, check it out, it does show how good the resolution of the camera is though.

PlanetNeil D2X "REVIEW"

Goodluck.

Let me know when they decide to stretch the sensor so it will compare with the 1Ds Mk II or even the 1Ds on other levels. I have yet to see an evalutive, objective review that compares the D2X with the 1Ds or the 1Ds Mk II. Perhaps you could direct me to one or two of these tests.

You want full frame? Nikon isnt going to do that anytime soon.

I havent run into many reviews pitting these two against each other.
This one was pretty good i thought...you can decide.

Bjorn Rorslett Review

Im not putting these two cameras against each other, im just stating that the new D2X is a comparable camera.

I would love a D2X but funds do not allow it, I have to say that I am very happy with the D2H its an awsome machine it really is. dont go for the D2Hs cos there is very little difference.. aparently there is a firmware hack for the D2H that bumps its ability up to match the D2Hs so not worth the extra $900 to upgrade i think.

add the VR range of lenses to that body and you better hold on tight because you'll be flying in no time at all.

I have the VR 24-120... love it and the AF-S NON VR 80-200 f2.8 love that too.
