I haven't left a lot of critiqes yet, because I'm pretty new. I'm also an amateur compared to most of you, so I'm not all that confident in my critiques yet. I do plan on commenting more though.

On another note, BradP, you left me a VERY nice comment on my abandoned building submission. I was honored that you complimented me after looking at your great pictures! Unfortunately, my photo ended up being DQ'd, because of a stupid mistake I made in not saving the original. That was my first entry and I really appreciated the comments I received. I feel stupid for messing up though!

Sorry to hear that Denise.
Do you still have it? Mind showing us which one it was?

Ok, just put it into my portfolio. It was this one -

I got a lot of comments that it didn't look abandoned, but surprisingly, it is. If you peek in the windows, there are weeds growing all over.

I think only the first 116 entries should be allowed. That way we would all have time to rate and comment on all the entries in the Challenge. (Maybe even take a picture or two!)

Cripe - that was hard to write with a straight face! Seriously, I feel badly that this was the first C I didn't at least rate 100% (my comment rate is usually pretty high too.)

I compare my comments all the time (helps me learn that what works for me, might not necessarily work for another. And that neither of us is necessarily wrong - helps increase the thickness of my hide.)

But I get a kick out of comparing the numbers too. I often match the comments of those without a camera more than those with. The Abandoned Building one, I hit 6 of the top ten - that was a shock! Then again, most of my 8-9-10's were waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy down in the pack.

I have decided to add the # to the comment, believing that will give the Photog a better sense of my numbering patterns.

PS (post script - not PhotoShop) - Brad could run a thread just with his hysterical little "Happy" folk. I usually know what he's trying to convey - unlike acronyms. Took me 5 years to find out that LOL did NOT mean Lots of Luck!
