Since I've been given a challenge to respond to the fact that Japan is commiting to giving $100 Million in aid to help support the Iraqi issue, I was wondering if any of you well-informed people have any good statistics on humanitarian aid. I know the US gives out a lot normally, but how does it compare percentage-wise to other smaller countries like Japan.

And how does this relate to the current situation in Iraq, since the US is obviously footing the majority of the bill there? The operation there is very expensive and the US will be repaid one way or another, but how are other countries reacting?
