I am still awaiting my XT, but wanted to order a second battery.

Looking for clones, I see my "trusted" Lenmar doesn't have a NB-2LH battery, just a NB-2L.

So looking further, I see a "Vidpro" battery at batterybarn, and while I never have seen this brand, I sort of trust batterybarn anyway.

Vidpro NB-2LH Replacement

Has more mA than the Canon model, and much cheaper. Has anyone tried this, or found a good reliable extra/replacement battery yet?

I bought an extra battery when I got the camera. Whilst I have used it, that is simply because as soon as I take one out to charge it I put the other in: I could actually, so far, have managed perfectly well on one, as I've never exhausted one - that's going up to 2Gb of RAW shots, with a fair amount of deleting along the way. That near-instant power-up is a boon for battery life - thank Nikon for leading the way.

Notice that the camera never actually turns off completely - with it switched off, if you put a card in the slot, and then close the door, the CF activity light activates for a while.
