I am afraid to ask for help due to this thread ' Is it fair to have help? ' I was hoping that someone could critique these photos. I built the light box that was featured Here . Both images are the same picture. The second one I selectively desaturated and boosted the colors. And I know the first one is a bit dark. How is my sharpness? Angle? Reflections? Anything to help would be appreciated. And no this is not my entry. I have another piece I will be using. This was just a test with the light box and a chance ask for help to improve my photography. My extreme action shot was the highest rating that I have received and I want to build on that.

This is a very good tutorial IMHO.
I like the colour adjustment you did BTW.

I like the saturated photo myself. It might could use some more detail or close up. Maybe even on a different background. I think they make metal reflective ones Like copper...silver....chrome...gold ect ect.
I built my light box as well yesterday just for this challenege. But I ended up changing my whole idea. So I have to make a special light box....don't want to give anything away but it will be a water light box. =) |

Thanks I did try and follow this as much as could remember. I am in the process of redoing my computer and didn't have access to the internet. So what I did I was trying to do from memory. Do you this that the blue stone is too blue, maybe over done?
