I was surprised that no one had thought of tie tacks. Guess no one gets dressed up in a suit and tie anymore.

Or maybe those of us that remember tie tacks are equally aware that approach would be doomed, since the younger generation hasn't a clue what they are? Anyway I have no idea where my tie tacks are anymore except that I'm on Cape Cod and they're in San Diego LOL.

Seeing as I'm in San Diego, maybe mine are in Cape Cod.

Not you, pal. Me. I be old. I remember... I ahd quite the collection of the damned things. And tie bars too, but I much preferred the tacks and the savoir faire of the somewhat free-swinging tie. This was when using the tacks witht he liitle chain, of course. Then there were the tacks that immobilized. And the tie bars that went behind the tie but has a chain the tie went through. Now I only HAVE one tie to my name.

It's the tie that binds, dontcha know?

Brad, wanna swap? You can go visit my ex and bag my tie tacks, I'll see if I can find yours out here, maybe with a metal detector on the beach...

Incidentally, on a related note, I was glad to see one example of "tack" as in horse gear...

What's a tie?

took me 20 minutes to get my cuff links in for the Christmas party last year :(

I'll admit I looked, AND had a couple (along with tie clips), but they were the short pin kind with the chain. Couldn't think of a way to incorporate them into an image. Initially I wanted to have a battle scene with the tie pins winning and looming over fallen tacks (push pins) that were scattered around and running off. :P

Can't believe I'm up at 1:30 in the morning and typing at that! Stinking cold...had to get up for some meds. Long as I'm up, might as well see how tacks is coming along. Took the wrong tack on this one, should have stayed in bed!

The younger generation doesn't know what they are? I certainly do, I don't think they've died out to the point we don't know what they are at all.

What is this network coming to???

First, I was groped in front of everyone today, (Thanks Di!) now I'm being asked if I want to do some swapping...

I just knew if I hung around long enough, I would infiltrate the secret society lurking below the surface!

Is this a cool place or what?

That's a REALLY tacky comment, Brad.

I thought of it in this thread. I didn't enter this challenge cause I was "stuck" on that idea and couldn't do it.
