| what is your opinion about file submission for printing? .tiff or .jpg? I have always submitted using jpg, but I didn't know if I should be using tiff. |

If you can print it, there's no harm in using TIFF except for file size. However it's rare to detect a difference between a TIFF and a JPEG saved a maximum quality. However, once you go below maximum quality, you risk image degredation, and if you have to do any editing (and subsequent re-save) of the JPEG you will suffer "generational loss" of quality.

Iam not sure what you mean by file submission for printing but the way i take it you mean to have them professionally done , most places only accept jpg

True, most print places (including DPC Prints) only take JPEGs, but some places do take TIFFs. Cantoo in Berkeley does, for example. |
