"Try photographing weather or the effects weather can have on the environment. "

My first thought was to photograph the effects weather can have on PEOPLE. I can't see "people" as being equivalent to "environment" or am I mistaken?

If it is a picture of someone singing in the rain I could see it - if it is just a picture of a person with a title like - "rainy days give the blues" I don't think it will work.

It seems like people in the environment, or people enjoying (or not) the weather, would be completely within the challenge guidelines, but then as we all well know, it's up to the voter to intrepret the meaning of the challenge.

Patella, I am so damn jealous of you!!!! I am in the midst of trying to plan a trip to see the All American Man, hiding in the Canyonlands. I sure wish I could catch a good Spring runoff down in there. One of my favorite places to be. Backpack in 20-30 miles and soak it all up. I have tons of pics on my website below. (including alot of ruins and rock formations.
But, with weather...I am waiting it out here is CO for something like these.

dacrazyrn, I love the depth and energy you have captured in the clouds in "Storm Clouds". Very nice!

As for this challenge, we've got a week's worth of 'severe clear' in the forecast... Doesn't look like I'm gonna' get a chance to try my hand at any storm pics.

pn,
same forecast here, partly cleary. Have a few other ideas, even though I do love the storms. too bad it is not tornado season.

Well that's a first. Never thought I'd hear someone wish for tornado season. You're storm clouds image is very good. Guess I can see why you want tornado's.

had spectacular weather here Sunday night...just BEFORE the current weather challenge was posted. now, just grey, blank, boring skies.

sigh

Guess I am not wishing for tornados. this part of Northern CO we get lots of funnel clouds that usually don't come down. At one time (might still be) Weld County had the most funnel clouds sited in the nation.
Not gonna be that lucky, still partly cleary out.

You can take a picture of an airplane, rotate it to a funny angle, and call it "clear-air turbulence."
