It's like taking the governor off a racecar that was been held back for so long.
The power has been there all along, just couldn't use it!
:) |
Yep. Sometimes you just gotta get this all out of your system. |

I like that idea! But we would still have to have some rules. |

Cool! It looks like a giant creature - but it's no match for Godzilla! ;-)

OK, now for the results you've all been waiting for...
After minutes of painstaking deliberation, and only a little disappointment in the lack of nudity...
The "Golden Slippy" goes to:
alionic

The "Two-Thumbs-Up" goes to:
kpriest
] ]
The "I'll Drink To That" goes to:
dsa157

Thanks, everyone, for taking part. It was fun to see what you did with the starting photo, I laughed, I cried, I wondered where all the nude depictions were. Congrats to the winners, you may now hang your awards proudly on the wall in your den!

for those who really like this stuff (myself included) you should check out the amazing talent over at Worth 1000
Their Photoshop contests are fantastic, very creative and usually really funny.
For more quick 'n dirty stuff like we were doing here, look at Fark.com
In addition to their collection of wierd news stories, they also usually have one or two Photoshop contests per day.
Enjoy.

During our regular challenges, I'm a bit of a purist - too much photoshop, and it is no longer a "real" photo (before you start typing to "educate" me, I AM well aware of all the arguments of people in the other camp, I'm just stating MY opinion here).
However in this context I am ever so impressed by the talent shown.
A digital art challenge every once in a while would be nice.
Please keep them coming, you clever folks, they are wonderful!!! |

Hey I have an idea!
Why dont we continue this in the forums, say have a weekly "photoshop this challenge" and the winner of the last one becomes the host of the new one- he picks a photo and starts the thread. At the end of the given time period, say M-Sat, the host will pick his favourite and some honorable mentions and post on Sun. And the winner becomes the new host... And it'll continue like that.

You need to load it into your portfolio
then use the the symbol in the post page that is two squares to link it to your image, using the reference number of your image... |

If it is in your portfolio, use the "Insert Thumbnail Link to Site Image" button (last one on the right of the toolbar) and enter the image id number.
If it is external, just post a link to it using the URL button OR you can save a thumbnail of it, reference the thumb with the "Insert Image" button and then wrap that with the URL reference to link to the larger one on your site. The code would look like this (without spaces in the brackets):
[ url=//www.yoursite.com/yourlargeimage.jpg][ img]//www.yoursite.com/yourthumbnail.jpg

grigolly is a registered user but not a paid member, and doesn't have a DPC Portfolio -- that's one of the things you pay for : ) |

Pay up, grigolly! It's worth it. ...even if you get hooked, ignore your real life, lose your job... Doh!
