Very good work Shawn, those came out really nice. I take it that Rogers Centre is the new name for what we used to know as SkyDome. Is the light better in there with the dome closed? Just out of curiosity, what shutter speeds did you use for the shots where the action is stopped, or nearly so, like Damon Hit, Bush throws to First, Hudson Takes Pitch, High & Tight, In The Dirt, and Hinske Home Run?

Thanks Harvey...that's correct, Rogers Centre was (and will always be IMO SkyDome). The light was tough and I'm not sure how it compares with the dome open at night. If the dome was open however, I would have had about 3-4 innings before it got dark, so it definately would have helped. The shutter speeds that were used were 250 or 320 and a f5.3 and f5.6. I am still learning the D70 and the more I zoomed in the the smaller the apeture. Not sure how to open it up to F4.0 zoomed in on the 70-300 4/5.6G lens.

EDIT...
Using PSP8:
Fade Correction 30
Despeckle
USM 1/125/5
then Neat Image to help with the noise.

I am going to the Yankee game on the 21st, this time on the first base side and closer to the dugout, so I hope to get more action shots at first and second. I learned a couple of things that will help next time and hopefully the weather will allow the dome to be open.

That's the way my 20D works, if you set it to the largest aperture when at the wide angle end of the zoom range, it will automatically adjust (to smaller apertures) as you zoom out to where that aperture is no longer available. You should be able to get f4 at 70mm but maybe not at anything much longer than that.
