Very nice, intuitive, clean interface, and really nice work to boot. :-)

thanks kirbic. I had done some work on individual pages, but wanted to put together everything and got the front page done recently.

Nice and clean. Bolding and underlining the links on the hover state seems a little much. I would just go with underlining because the size increase from setting them to bold makes the links a little twitchy.

I know dpchallenge and dpcprints, so even though links to these two areas are outside of your web site, I know that they are extensions of your website, what if someone that is not familiar with dpchallenge and dpcprints visits your site?

Clicking on your 'Featured Print' takes me to the print in dpcprints, but clicking on the featured photo doesn't directly take me to the photo, only the gallery the photo is in. What if I do not want to wait for the gallery to load or only want to see the featured photo? I like the gallery by the way.

The total size of all of your thumbnails on your home page is 377K with the 'Featured Print' photo coming in at almost 160K. Can you reduce the size of the thumbnails a little without reducing the quality too much? I think that would be better.

I hope these comments and suggestions have been helpful. - Rod

I am not sure why I did a bold font on this page. All other pages just do underline. I will look into this.

hmm may be I should make a sub-section to get them in instead of putting them with my other links...

This I need to do. I would make this similar to the featured photo with photos appearing in randomized fashion on every refresh and path to the print itself and not the gallery...

This is my fault :( I didn't get the thumbnail right for featured print. Need to work on that whole frame....

thanks Judy. Being active on dpc has provided me with a lot of stuff to learn and I hope to be a part of this community for a long time :)

page looks very nice.

the dpchallenge link is attached to the default frame, i assume _parent.
you should change it to _self so it opens a separate page and doesn't take the client away from your website.

_edit_
your page also strikingly resembles mine, most likely because of simpleviewer. the one problem i had with simpleviewer was the way it loaded and kept the flash file into the cache of the user. so when you update your website you'd have to have the client remove their cached files. a lot of people don't like doing this, and it also requires them to re-download all the pictures in your portfolio. using expirations on cookies you can expire the imageData.xml file that second, so clients always download the new file.
all this is with the pretense that you use the automatic method to update the site by using the provided scripts. if not, just ignore this and continue editing manually.

great site!

the one thing i can say, and it's minor, but on the title page don't tell people it's a web page. i think it's obvious. it takes a bit away from the professional appeal to it, otherwise it's great.

I changed the dpchallenge link to a new window. Other links to my site still open in the same window..

Also I don't use their scripted versions, but manuall add the files. Yes they do have problems with cache but I am not sure what to do.

Something that bothers me a lot !! but I am not sure what to do with it.. should I just remove it ? or put something different ? Removing it altogether makes the tables start from the top which I didn't like much... :(

Actually I dont' intend this as a business page or else it should be designed in a very different fashion. At this time I just wanted it to be a page where I could upload my pics and also sketches and well may be if I come up with some other hobby someday :)

You have a lot of very nice images. Just one thing, when referring viewers to your prints use your referral link gaurawa.dpcprints.com. Just a thought.
