When I save a picture from Elements, and open it with any other program, I get a shift in colour, or contrast. (Same results when viewed with several other programs)
B/W goes a lot darker, colour just goes off!
I have to compensate within Elements before I save in an attempt to end up with the desired results. (I̢۪m no colour wizard, so it̢۪s hit and miss!)
Printing has the same results.
Given the critical eye on this site, this is a huge disadvantage.
Am I missing something basic within the program?

Thanks for any help

Find one of your saved images, locate the "properties" list (not sure where it is in Elements) and copy/paste it into a post here so we can have a look...

Most likely you are using different color profile.
In Elements try to do this
Imag > mode > convert to profile
assign sRGB profile and then save it as jpeg.

That's probably true, Gaurawa; the data will tell us.

Posted two pics, "colour" & "contrast" in my portfolio. (didn't know how to put it here!)
gaurawa, Did not have a sRGB option, only "RGB" or "Indexed Color..."
Robt., could not "copy" properties. What item were you looking for?
Contrast example is noticeably darker than original
Colour has darker trees, and a more "purple" look to the smow and sky
Only post processing for both was resize

Does that help?
