Another match on the wkend. Some of the photos here I'd really appreciate tough critique, I want to improve......and there's plenty of room for that.

thanks

Nice photos!
This one is my favorite. I like the way you caught this player sneaking with the ball :-)

Edit: am leaving you some comments under the photos.

You have some good shots there, alhough one problem I noticed straight away(but this could be due to my monitor) was that some of the white shirts looked blown out, I normally under expose my shots by about two thirds and then edit them later to try and avoid this.
There is one shot where I can't quite see where the ball is, which leaves the shot lacking a focal point imho. Also some of the backgrounds look quite busy, I know in many situations this is can't be avoided, but I always try to get a position that will offer me the cleanest backgrounds meaning it will be easier to seperate the action.

I think these shots are great, may be you need a few more scoring shots but the ones you have are very well composed.

If you want to compare to my Rugby Photos. //www.photoboxgallery.com/sussexpictures

I actually like the one with the ball missing, sometimes the crowd never have a clue where it is. Especially when there are lots of fat man lying on it.

Great set of shots Sue, your becomming an intrepid rugby fotog. I'll agree the pic of the guy 'sneaking' the ball is my fav (or the scrum half passing the ball down the line after winning a ruck/maul).
Pic 10 (the handoff ) is also a great action shot (not quite extreme enough for the current challenge though).
