I have a 300d (rebel) and when you take a picture when the picture is on the card and you press the preview to see it, it is a hires preview...
I used to word with a 10d... same thing you take the shot, and you check the preview, but the is a lowres preview, then the hires after 1-2 sec... I HATE THAT !...
I am to buy a 20d soon, is there the same low-hi res preview bug or it is like the 300d...
Dont tell me there is a difference between the 300d and 10d in term of resolution or processing power, it the same and the 10d look worst ! why ?

The review function on mine is pretty much instantaneous, and as good a res as you can get. Bear in mind that that tiny LCD screen isn't anywhere near the same as your home monitor. That being said, I like the fact that I can get a histogram on the screen with the review. I use the review as a quick look to check composure, but the histogram gives me much more info.
Good luck with the new 20D.

The preview time on the 20D, from what I've seen on friends' cameras, is darn quick. Resolution is as good as you can expect from the LCD. The speed of the CF card will affect the responsiveness to some degree; for th e20D, you need a pretty fast card to take full advantage of the speed the camera can offer.
You should take one of your CF cards and lenses into a store, and shoot a few frames with the 20D, and review them. That will tell you more than a dozen posts on the matter.

I don't use the right-after-you-shot-it review feature but had it on for a little while (about 10 minutes when I got it) and with a fast card it has the preview up before your eye is out of the veiwfinder. With a slow card it goes from a busy screen right to the final preview.
Hope that helps |

Just moved to the 20D (from 300D) and yes it is much quicker.
