I had picked up some dust and dirt on my Canon 20d recently, It was very annoying to keep cloning out those black specs that appear on my screen as I view my image. I read the user manual on cleaning your sensor. I then did a search on google on sensor cleaning. There were many do it yourself services that sell a kit that helps clean your "valuable and precious" sensor.

I decided not to try and clean it. I brought it down to the camera store, and they clean it up for me. All they did was to use a very large "aspirator" type of blower to gently blow away dust and dirt from the sensor. The service guy said that he would have to mail it out, if he could not blow away the dirt. Its something that the factory does. Is this so? Has anyone actually clean your own sensor with other than a blower? Has anyone mail out their camera to have it service for this reason?
