I haven't ever played much with the different digtial media players like Quicktime and Windows Media Player, and I only got DSL a couple months ago. When I am asked "which speed" I would like to use on one of these players, how do I determine my DSL speed? Thanks!

Try This: Cnet Bandwidth Meter
It's been pretty helpful for me.

www.dslreports.com go to the Test & Tools and run a speed test. Also most media players etc, that ask your connection speed, should have dsl/cable/T1 etc listed.
