In an informal survey of ribbon winning photos for the first 22 challenges of 2005, I found the following results (with ribbon count in parentheses):
Color (41) --- Black & White (25)
Outdoor (39) --- Indoor/Studio (21)
Landscape (19) --- Cityscape (10)
No People in Photo (33) --- People in Photo (33)
Abstract Art Photos (8)
Macro Photos (5)
Photos of Toys (2)
Photos of Babies/Children (7)
Photos of Pets (0)

Let us not forget that 3 out of the last 5 challenges have had ribbon winners taken in the great state of Arizona... a trend has started. :)
