Maybe a Dunnock?
I'm not entirely sure though. I'm far from an expert that's for sure!

Thanks for your input, it does look similar to the Dunnock but they seem to have grey collars. I think I'm too old to start learning birds lol.

That looks very much like a Dunnock, mistakenly named a Hedge Sparrow. Judging by the colouring, it is a mature male.
